KBox E-410-APL Spec Features

Kontron, a leading global provider of IoT / Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), is pleased to introduce a new fanless DIN Rail Box PC, named KBox E-410-APL, powered by Intel® Atom® E3900 Series & Pentium® / Celeron® N-Series SoC processors (formerly codenamed Apollo Lake), for mounting on a DIN rail in control cabinets or terminal boxes for industrial control, manufacturing, machine automation and facility monitoring applications.

Compact DIN Rail Mount Design for Rugged Environments

KBox E-410-APL is enclosed within a compact sealed aluminum housing based on passive cooling techniques. The design can reduce dust ingress and makes the box PC ideal for a range of harsh environments subject to dust, sand or other airborne particulate. With wide ranging power input support from DC 15 V to 35 V, it is capable of surviving unstable or fluctuating power supply as well. The DIN-rail mount design with all I/O interfaces accessible from the front not only makes easy the installation and maintenance but also saves precious space in the control cabinet.

Power-saving PC with Flexible Networking Options

Powered by Intel® Atom® E3900 Series & Pentium® / Celeron® N-Series SoC processors, KBox E-410-APL is characterized by both high performance capabilities and a low power consumption of up to 12 W TDP. Besides dual GbE LAN ports for Ethernet redundancy to ensure maximum network uptime, the box PC is equipped with an mPCIe socket and an M.2 Key B socket for WLAN, Bluetooth and / or WWAN wireless expansion, providing flexible networking options to meet different network environments.

Flexible Communication Port Configuration

KBox E-410-APL provides flexible communication port configuration, including RS232/422/485, RS232, CAN Bus and DIO, among four DB9 connectors located on the front I/O panel. Four configurations options are available and users can choose an appropriate combination depending on communication scheme in applications.
